My current fee for a 50-minute therapy session is $210.
Couples sessions last 60 minutes and the fee is $240. Fees are due at the time of
the appointment. I accept payment by check or Zelle, but not
by credit card.
In cases of financial hardship,
I offer a limited number of appointments at sliding-scale fees.
If you would like, we could discuss this when we set up your first
appointment. If we cannot find a feasible solution, I can provide referrals
to other community counseling services that offer sliding scales.
Insurance
If you have medical insurance, psychotherapy may be covered by your policy. To determine the extent of your
coverage, click here for a list of questions to ask your insurance provider.
Other Resources for Payment Assistance
In addition to insurance, several other resources may be available to
assist with the cost of psychotherapy:
A Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account typically requires
only the submission of a receipt from the service provider. Such a receipt can be provided to you
at the time of service.
Ask your Human Resources professional at work if you can use professional development or other funds for
psychotherapy (sometimes this is possible if your presenting problem involves work-related stress).
If you attend a local church or synagogue, ask if they have a cost-sharing program that subsidizes
payment for congregants who seek out a professional helper.
